Corkonians love being out and about around their city and county so for land lubbers there are a myriad of activities available. One of the Ireland's top ten attractions is Fota Wildlife Park near Cobh which is a guaranteed hit with kids.

On Water
Cork City is built on a series of islands and intermittant river channels, only two of which are visible around the city - the north and south channels (this often confuses visitors navigating their way around who don't realise there are "two" River Lees!).
The two channels lead into Cork's enormous harbour with 15 miles of water that rowing clubs, sailing clubs, motorboating enthusiasts, windsurfers and squba divers relish.
